Congratulations on your Christening Prince George

Prince George who was born on 22nd July and is third in line to the throne was baptised today by the Archbishop of Canterbury.The Christening was held in the chapel royal in St James Palace in front of around 22 guests.

The godparents, announced earlier, are Oliver Baker, Emilia Jardine-Paterson, Earl Grosvenor, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Julia Samuel, William van Cutsem and Zara Tindall.

Mrs Tindall, wife of former England rugby player Mike Tindall, is Prince William's cousin, while the other six godparents are all friends of the royal couple.

Prince George was baptised in a replica of the lace and satin christening gown made for Queen Victoria's eldest daughter, Victoria, the Princess Royal, in 1841.

Kate as always looks radiant and the most natural of mothers

. I can certainly see the resemblance between George and his dad as a baby.

Halloween Fun

Well its nearly that time again, Halloween is nearly upon us. Time for pumpkin carving, apple bobbing, bats, ghosts and anything gory.  Having worked with children for many years and having organised many Halloween parties I know just how much you can do and put together without having to break the bank. So whether your young or old, take a look at some of my ideas below

Fun and Games

Party tip: is "the mummy game" - all you need is two teams of people and lots of toilet rolls!

Once divided into two teams one volunteer from each team is chosen to become the mummy. Each team then races to wrap that person in toilet roll to create an Egyptian mummy look. its always great fun, just make sure they clear all the paper up after as it always gets a bit messy! 

What a simple easy way of keeping the kids entertained

Much better than apple bobbing, certainly would be a favourite of mine

Party Tip 2: Halloween Gunk  - All you need is a large pan or bowl, then add as many different ingredients as you can find. Oats, Cornflakes, flour, ketchup or green food colouring, basically add anything that is not harmful to children or adults. Add to this mix a handful of plastic spiders, flies etc.  Each person then has 40 seconds to put their hand in the bowl and retrieve as many items as they can from the mix. A prize is then given to the person who has retrieved the most.

I really love this pumpkin decoration, such a simple idea to put together!

I thought this was a simple idea, would look great on mirrors around the house, you could think of lots of different silhouettes and create the same effect.

Get in the Halloween spirit by making these cute lanterns—they're so easy that kids can help.

• Choose jars in various sizes (we used leftover pickle jars).
• Brush a coat of glue all over the jar.
• Cover the entire jar, including the neck and bottom, with a layer of tissue paper.

For the pumpkin jar, we cut the tissue paper into strips and laid them vertically over the jar. place the tissue paper with another layer of glue and wrap a decorative ribbon around the neck.
