White Rose Weddings - Wedding Trends for 2013

White Rose Wedding Trends for 2013

2013 is the year where we see couples wanting to personalise their day more and making it stand out. With so many options available anything goes. So its time to think outside of the box and be creative.

Colour

This year here in the UK think more sage/mint greens, purples and dusky pinks.

In the US

Style
More weddings will be less Shabby Chic and more Elegant in style.

Patterns
This year patterns are going to be popular, from stripes and dots to delicate floral and bold patterns. These will be seen more and more within the venue decor, tablecloths, runners and even backdrops.

If your bridegroom to really wanting to be a little different? this year give our men the chance to be a little more adventurous.

or even your bridesmaids

Lace

After last years Royal Wedding lace will be more popular with brides opting for elegant dresses just like Kate Middletons.

Fun

In 2013 couples will be putting even more emphasis on fun. With more couples are going for options, such as sweet tables, popcorn stands and ice cream vans. Personalised cocktails are becoming more popular.

Outdoors

More and more couples are falling in love with the idea of outdoor weddings and saying their vows surrounded by nature. This year these will become increasingly popular. In the UK as the weather is always so  I would always suggest that your venue has
a back up plan. Popular choices are Tents and Tipi weddings.

Beach Wedding Inspiration

In an effort to cheer myself up after all this awful rain, this week I decided to focus on
Beach Weddings,
Whilst here in the UK Beach Weddings are restricted some of the ideas here can still be incorporated into a seaside theme.
If you are lucky enough to be getting married on the beach in a more sunny climate then here are some useful ideas

A beautiful relaxed approach to a beach reception

This is a fab idea for the ring bearer

Simple idea for place names

Outdoor Weddings

With Summer fast approaching we have decided to focus on outdoor weddings. In the UK unfortunately brides are still not able to marry outdoors unless it is under a licensed structure, there are numerous campaigns running for this to be changed. Currently brides may hold their ceremony under a licensed gazebo or in the doorway of a venue with guests sitting outside. The alternative is to legally marry at a local registry office and then hold a wedding blessing with a celebrant at an outdoor location of your choice- One Life Ceremonies can carry out a personalised ceremony.

Here are a few inspirations for outdoor style wedding themes

I really love the idea of wearing wellies under a wedding dress, they could even be used as planters for flowers

How about this simple way of decorating chairs

Why not ask your guests to make a wish for you

Simple wild flowers make a ideal option for an outdoor wedding reception also ideal for a budget

Pretty Lanterns can be a really effective way to decorate your venue

I would really love to hear some of your ideas, especially if on a tight budget
